features of the study of a modern language at the College, students enrolled in certain
courses in modern language are recommended to use the language laboratory as prescribed
by each department.

A continuation of CHIN 132 Intermediate Chinese II. It's a proficiency-oriented course
with practice in conversation, reading, and composition, including pronunciation and
continued grammar review. It includes advanced reading of authentic materials. The
fourth semester of the second year's work in advanced intermediate Chinese as taught
at four-year institutions. Conducted primarily in Mandarin Chinese.
