Unless otherwise indicated, a grade of C or higher is required for all prerequisite courses.

Course Description

Explores beginning counseling techniques as well as interviewing and referral skills. Also, includes intervention skills and relapse prevention strategies. Using the experiential format, participants study and practice skills in attentive listening and recognizing and responding to different levels of client communication. (Formerly SOSC 314)
