Program Inactivation and Teach-out
A teach-out is a process during which a program of study is inactivated and will no longer be offered at an institution. Once a program is identified for inactivation, the respective division will communicate a plan to students with a teach-out agreement that provides students a reasonable opportunity to complete their program of study. Once the program of study is inactivated and the teach-out timeline completed, no student will be able to complete or receive a degree or certificate in that program of study, regardless of catalog rights.
