Dental Assisting Eligibility
All dental assisting courses require a grade of C or higher for progression in the sequence. Upon successful completion of the program, the candidate is eligible to apply for a Certificate of Completion from the Office of Admissions and Records, sit for the California Registered Dental Assistant Exam, and the Dental Assisting National Board Exam.
Minimum Grade for Prerequisites
Unless otherwise indicated, a grade of C or higher is required for all prerequisite courses.
Course Description
Prepares the dental assisting student for a career in an allied health profession by providing the necessary skills to work and communicate effectively with patients, dental team members, and other health professionals. (Fall only.)
