Unless otherwise indicated, a grade of C or higher is required for all prerequisite
This course will provide instruction for individuals who are preparing for Emergency
Medical Technician training. Topics will include an introduction to Emergency Medical
Systems, the roles and responsibilities of an EMT, and expanded instruction on anatomy/physiology.
This will create a foundation of knowledge for the EMT Basic course.

Recommended: Eligibility for ENGL 100 or Eligibility for ENGL 105, Possession of a current Basic
Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA).
