Unless otherwise indicated, a grade of C or higher is required for all prerequisite courses.

Course Description

Introductory laboratory exercises in oceanography. Emphasis on gathering, analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting oceanographic data especially those related to San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Coastline. Topics include sand formation, seafloor bathymetry, marine ecology, seawater chemistry, waves, tides, currents, and human interactions with the oceans. Field trips required.
