Multiple measures, including high school transcripts, are now being used to help determine
proper placement of students into Mathematics courses. Students transferring to College
of San Mateo with credit in college Mathematics can use their transcripts to assist

and the web schedule. Unless otherwise indicated, a grade of C or higher is required
for all prerequisite courses. Prerequisites may be met by showing proof of satisfactory
completion of an equivalent course at a post-secondary institution.
Minimum Grade for Prerequisites
Unless otherwise indicated, a grade of C or higher is required for all prerequisite
and interpretation of data, use and misuse of statistics, graphical display
of distributions, measures of central tendency and dispersion,
probability, sampling distributions, statistical inference (including
ANOVA), contingency tables, regression and correlation.

Prerequisites: MATH 120 or MATH 123 or MATH 190 or appropriate score on the College Placement Test.
Recommended: Eligibility for READ 400 or an equivalent level of reading proficiency. Eligibility
for ENGL 100 or ENGL 105.
