The courses NURS 211, 212, 221, 222, 225, 231, 232, 235, 241, 242, 245, 620, 815,
816, 817, 818, and 819 are open only to those students accepted in the Associate Degree
Nursing Program (see Index: Nursing, A. S. Degree for admission requirements). A grade
of C or higher is necessary for progression in the sequence. Upon graduation, the
candidate receives an Associate in Science degree and is eligible to take the National
Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX).

Course is designed to familiarize students
with the basics of vocabulary used in the medical and health professions. Medical
terminology is taught by using a systematic word-building
approach. This four week self-paced course requires excellent time management skills,
computer skills and commitment by the student.
