Unless otherwise indicated, a grade of C or higher is required for all prerequisite courses.

Course Description

This course is an introduction to government and politics in the United States and California. Students examine the constitutions, structure, and operation of governing institutions, civil liberties and civil rights, political behaviors, political issues, and public policy using political science theory and methodology. Note: Upon transfer to a U.C. campus, students who have completed both POLS C1000 and POLS 210 (formerly PLSC 210) will receive transfer credit for only one 3-unit course. (Formerly PLSC 200)
