Equivalent Digital Media Course

DGME 103 - Fundamentals of Two-Dimensional Design and ART 301 - Two-Dimensional Design are equivalent courses and either can be used to satisfy degrees in both programs. (Required for AA: General Studio Art and AA-T: Studio Art; Selective for AA: Art History and AA-T: Art History)

Minimum Grade for Prerequisites

Unless otherwise indicated, a grade of C or higher is required for all prerequisite courses.

Course Description

Introduction to drawing the human figure from observation using a wide variety of drawing media and techniques. Topics include an introduction to human anatomy and the historical and contemporary roles of figure drawing in the visual arts. Students in this course will learn both descriptive and interpretive approaches to drawing the figure.
