Program Overview

The Associate in Science degree in Allied Health Science is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year program or a community college allied-health occupation program, such as Respiratory Therapy, Dental Hygiene, Radiologic Technology, or Registered Nurse. In addition to these diagnostic and therapeutic fields, students will also be prepared to pursue further education and training in a variety of non-clinical support services, public health and health administration careers. This program provides many of the prerequisite courses needed for entry in allied health certificate programs and many of the lower division courses needed for transfer to a four-year college or university.

Transfer majors appropriate for this option include but are not limited to: Dental Hygiene, Kinesiology, Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Public Health, and Radiologic Technology.

Career Opportunities: Respiratory Therapy, Dental Hygiene, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Radiologic Technology, or Registered Nurse.
