The courses DENT 753, DENT 770, DENT 721, DENT 722, DENT 740, DENT 742, DENT 749,
DENT 751, and DENT 763 are open to those who have been accepted into the Dental Assisting
program. DENT 701, DENT 702 and DENT 703 are open to all students. A grade of C or
higher is necessary for progression in the sequence. Upon successful completion of
the program, the candidate is eligible to apply for a Certificate of Completion from
the Office of Admissions and Records, sit for the California Registered Dental Assistant
Exam, and the Dental Assisting National Board Exam.

This course is held at the University of California San Francisco, School of Dentistry.
The dental assisting students assist dental students at chairside. The student is
able to apply previously taught chairside theory to practical experience while caring
for the dental patient.
