Dental Assisting Eligibility

All dental assisting courses require a grade of C or higher for progression in the sequence. Upon successful completion of the program, the candidate is eligible to apply for a Certificate of Completion from the Office of Admissions and Records, sit for the California Registered Dental Assistant Exam, and the Dental Assisting National Board Exam.

Minimum Grade for Prerequisites

Unless otherwise indicated, a grade of C or higher is required for all prerequisite courses.

Course Description

This course is held at the University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry. The dental assisting students assist dental students at chairside. The student is able to apply previously taught chairside theory to practical experience while caring for the dental patient. (Fall only.)
