Dental Assisting Eligibility

All dental assisting courses require a grade of C or higher for progression in the sequence. Upon successful completion of the program, the candidate is eligible to apply for a Certificate of Completion from the Office of Admissions and Records, sit for the California Registered Dental Assistant Exam, and the Dental Assisting National Board Exam.

Minimum Grade for Prerequisites

Unless otherwise indicated, a grade of C or higher is required for all prerequisite courses.

Course Description

Clinical experience in dental assisting for students in the dental assisting program. Clinical work must be unpaid and a certain number of hours accumulated per ADA Accreditation Standards. For students enrolled full time in the Dental Assisting Program. (Spring only.)
