Minimum Grade for Prerequisites

Unless otherwise indicated, a grade of C or higher is required for all prerequisite courses.

Course Description

This course is designed to improve students’ listening and speaking skills at the advanced level through the discussion, analysis, and presentation of contemporary and controversial issues. Students are also taught to take effective notes on academic lectures. This course is the fourth in a series of five listening and speaking courses meant to prepare students whose primary language is not English for success in college courses as well as assist them in advocating for themselves, their families, and their communities in their personal and professional lives.
